Reference Services:

The library staff are happy to help you find what you need: Just ask! We don’t bite. We will look for what you would like for school, work or leisure. We will find you books, magazines and information over the internet

Interlibrary Loan:

The library is a part of the Vermont Automated Library System (VALS) and the library staff can get books from libraries all over Vermont for patrons through interlibrary loan. This includes the public, school, college and university libraries. Through the Vermont State Department of Libraries the library is connected to World Cat and can request materials from libraries out of state, though this may have a fee charged from the library sending the material


Vermont OnLine Library:

Through the Vermont OnLine Library (VOL), the State of Vermont Department of Libraries and the Jeudevine Memorial Library (as well as most public libraries in Vermont) provide electronic information databases free to all Vermonters. These resources are available to you 24-hours-a-day from not only your library, but also from your home and office, or anywhere there is Internet access.

Gale databases include:
*3,100 full-text and 6,000 indexed periodical titles from 1980 to the present in periodicals of general interest. *Academic journals with 1000 full-text and 2,000 indexed periodical titles covering the social sciences, humanities, science and technology, and more covering the academic publications.
*Health & Wellness Resource Center and Alternative Health module with over 400 health/medical journals, 800 pamphlets, and 2,100 general interest publications; encyclopedias of medicine, links to key health websites
*Business & Company Resource Center
*Computer Database
* Newspapers- over 100 US and International newspapers including the New York Times
*Kids Edition (primary), Junior Edition (middle school), Student Edition (high school)
Heritage Quest Database

Current Biography, Junior Authors and Illustrators, Biographies Plus and the Biography Reference Bank.

Come into the library and get a lesson in using this wonderful, free resource. If kids have to do an assignment due overnight, this is a great resource. Or if your boss wants a report. Or if you are a curious person.

Library Computers:

The Jeudevine Memorial Library has three computers available for public access to the Internet with printing capabilities. They also have Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. The computers are available for 20 minute sessions daily with high speed access through Comcast Cable which gives a free connection to the library.

Wireless Is Available:

The library has a wireless system which is available. It is available 24/7 outside the library. Access the connection called Jeudevine.

Ask the library staff for an appointment and we will teach you!

Service to People with Disabilities:

The library gets a rotating collection of Large Print books from the Special Services Unit of the Vermont State Department of Libraries every three months. We also have a small in-house large print collection. If you would like books delivered to your home, please call the library at 472-5948.
